This time round, there won’t be any open homes for this four-level container house that appears to hang off the side of a rockface in Owhiro Bay, Wellington.

Listing agent Jane Park of Harcourts says she sold the property six years ago and “all of Wellington came to see it”.

“I couldn’t manage that at this time,” she says. But she knows interest in the property is up there: “This is a house that just makes you smile. People spend a long time looking through it.

“It looks very sleek and Modernist on the outside, but you get quite a different feeling going in. Most people talk about the ‘wow factor’ when they walk in, because they don’t realise how spacious and open it is inside.”
