The stadium unofficially known as the “Cake Tin” will no longer be officially known as Westpac Stadium from next year.
Wellington Regional Stadium Trust and Westpac have announced a sponsorship deal for naming rights over Wellington’s stadium will come to an end at the end of the year.
Westpac has sponsored the stadium since it opened in 2000. But Westpac brand manager Graham Wright said “the time is right” to look for other sponsorship opportunities.
