It was a fleeting conversation with a woman selling her clothes and belongings on the street that was the catalyst for Raeng Castagna to apply for a home loan.
“She was a stunning woman in her 70s,” Ms Castagna recalls. “She’d been renting in the same place for 30 years and the owner had died, and the children wanted to move in so she had to leave.”
