Inner-east home owners putting their property up for sale in the past 12 months have been trimming their prices more than anywhere else in Melbourne, as discounting rates reach their highest level since the 2013 downturn.

Vendors across Melbourne accepted a final sale price that was on average 6.7 per cent less than their advertised price during the six months to December, Domain data shows.
