Coronavirus has made working from home a reality for many Australians.
And if you’re dreaming of that new ‘home office’ being in the country, you could save a stack of cash on real estate.
While the average price of a Sydney home nudges $1 million, you can buy a house in many parts of Australia for less than $100,000.
You’ll be surprised by the quality on offer, with many of these real estate bargains liveable, not a knock-down rebuild.
All of these homes are currently listed for sale across Australia.
Properties for auction have not been included.
Rosebery, Tasmania
Elders Real Estate is selling 14 Baillieu Street, Rosebery, for just $85,000.
The three-bedroom home has a tenant on a 12-month lease paying $165 per week.
That’s far more than the $98 a week you would have to pay on the mortgage if you borrowed the entire $85,000.
The house has a brand new kitchen, timber floors and solid windows.
