Two years after Sir John Key reportedly sold his Auckland mansion for $20 million the title still hasn’t changed hands.
And council records show a new three storey home being built on what was the mansion’s tennis court does not comply with local character rules.
After resigning as prime minister in 2016 and walking away from politics Key and his wife Lady Bronagh Key decided to downsize their home.
Since the early 2000s the Keys have been living in their palatial home on St Stephens Ave, an exclusive street in Parnell.
