The Griffin family, who won a $4.2 million home featured on The Block, are facing a nightmare situation. They claim that Adrian ‘Lambo Guy’ Portelli, the property investor who offered the house as a prize through his lottery company LMCT+, took back over $100,000 worth of goods from the home before handing it over to them.

While the Griffins believed they were entitled to all the items seen in the lottery’s promotional videos for the home, Mr. Portelli insisted that these luxury extras were only used for staging in the videos and were not part of the giveaway’s terms and conditions. The dispute escalated when the Griffins found CCTV footage of Mr. Portelli removing items from the house before they moved in, leading to a list of demands totaling $102,000.

Mr. Portelli posted out-takes from the handover video, where the family appeared unhappy, sparking outrage online. Some criticized the Griffins for their reaction, given that they had won a valuable home. However, the family felt that the items were rightfully theirs.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Portelli’s business, LMCT+, is under investigation in two states for alleged violations of gambling laws, further complicating the situation.
