A new report has revealed a long list of jobs that need finishing before Transmission Gully can be opened, which likely won’t be done by the already extended completion date.

Today project managers of the Transmission Gully construction updated the Greater Wellington Regional Council on work needing to be completed before its scheduled opening on 27 September.

The $1.2 billion highway currently has 41 outstanding problems around stormwater and sediment for which help from the regional council will be needed to finish.

In addition to the remaining work, Wellington’s wider city and district councils need to do a range of tests to sign off the completion.
