According to STUFF a woman died at a Wellington real estate boss’s home hours after taking what she thought was MDMA at a Christmas Party.
And a high-ranking police officer who attended the party has been interviewed about what he knew of any drug use at the event.
Bella Mulligan, 57, died at the home of Harcourts Johnsonville franchise co-owner Paul Ellis on December 11.
Mulligan, a sales and marketing professional who worked for Oracle, had earlier attended a Christmas Party at her husband’s car repair business, Motor Doctors, in Johnsonville where she took what she thought was the drug MDMA, also known as ecstasy.
The party was attended by dozens of people, including the senior police officer, who cannot be named.
After leaving the party, Mulligan and a group of friends went to town, and she became ill.
She was taken back to Ellis’ home on The Terrace where her condition worsened
