A woman, who assumed that her grandmother let her live in one of her homes rent-free, has been ordered to pay more than $20,000 to her aunt.
Shirleen Spellman had been living in one of her grandmother’s homes in Lynfield, Auckland, rent-free since December 2012.
When her grandmother died in 2015, she left behind a number of properties in her will and made her daughter, Shirley Tassie, the executor of the estate.
