Auckland woman Sarah Sparks says she spent $2 million on legal fees in her relationship property dispute before she “ran out of money” and had to represent herself instead.
She and her former husband separated in 2012 after having been married for 12 years.
She was then involved in a legal dispute over the sale of properties that her husband had planned to develop.
That case continues and will return to the High Court next year.
