Arrest Made in Kidnapping Case
Authorities have arrested and charged a man with kidnapping in connection to Yanfei Bao’s disappearance. The suspect was apprehended at Christchurch Airport on Saturday evening and will be presented in court today to face the charges.
Search at Trevor Street Property
On Monday morning, police conducted a search at a residence on Trevor Street in Hornby. The property had been seized by police the previous day, and a Harcourts for sale sign was seen outside. This development has heightened concerns for Bao’s safety.

Appeal for Public Assistance
Canterbury Investigations Inspector Nicola Reeves urged the public to come forward with any information that may aid in the investigation. The police are particularly interested in sightings of a silver Mitsubishi sedan with the registration DPH101, which was in the areas of Wigram, Hornby, Tai Tapu, Halswell, Redcliffs, and New Brighton from mid-last week until Saturday night.
