The Taranaki Regional Council has voted to spend $50m to repair both stands at Yarrow Stadium and upgrade the main field.
A a full council meeting, councillors voted in favour of adopting the amended option two, which proposed spending $50m on earthquake strengthening repairs to the stands and essential upgrades.
The original option two proposed spending $55m on the repairs along with the essential upgrades and some non-essential upgrades.
