Sydney’s strong auction clearance rates continued this weekend as the spring market continued to bloom back to life.
The preliminary clearance rate sat at 77.5 per cent after 468 auctions and 300 reported results on Saturday.
Sydney’s results have sat at 70 per cent or above for the past 10 weeks as the number of homes for sale remains low.
Domain economist Trent Wiltshire predicted the finalised clearance rate for the second weekend of spring would be 70 per cent once all the results were reported.
Mr Wiltshire said spring auction numbers weren’t expected to overtake booming spring markets of previous years.
“Auction numbers are picking up, but still below where they were last year,” he said.
