Australian cricket fans can now have a chance to own a piece of sporting history, after the family home of cricketer Steve Smith was put on the market.
The sports star’s parents Peter and Gillian Smith have put their Alfords Point home, in Sydney’s south, on the market with price hopes of $1.4 million to $1.5 million.
The four-bedroom house at 9 Mahogany Close is filled with many happy family memories, but the pair feel it’s time to downsize and have decided to sell their home of 25 years to relocate to the south coast, where they will build on a block of land they have.
“There’s only two of us here now, and it has four bedrooms plus the flat out the back, and we just don’t need it all now. We’ve decided it’s time to move on,” Mr Smith said.
“There’s heaps of bathrooms to keep clean,” he joked.
Mr Smith told Domain the couple were now wanting to downsize farther along the south coast.
