Acclaimed fashion designer turned interior designer, Collette Dinnigan has bought another very cool home+ in the Southern Highlands.

Collette Dinnigan, the acclaimed fashion designer turned interior designer, and most recently boutique store owner, has bought again in the Southern Highlands.

The Bowral-based Dinnigan, who recently opened a homewares shop in Mittagong, has spent $2.85 million on Argyle Grange in Robertson.

The three-bedroom cottage, set on a sheltered country road, comes with an AGA in the kitchen.

It is surrounded by farmland on a 1.8 hectare block, which has a newly renovated studio and workshop amid its outbuildings.

There are views to the Kangaroo Valley escarpment.

Robert Sampson and Eloise Haydon of Haydon Homes And Properties secured the sale, having marketed the property as “blessed with abundant rainfall, fertile land, and beauty in every direction”.

The property, they added, was nestled on a saddle, away from the noise, above the cold air, and protected from high winds.

The home sold for $2.85m.

The home sits on a 1.8ha block.

No decision yet, but the property could possibly be a part of the luxury holiday letting pool that Dinnigan runs with her estate agent husband Bradley Cocks after Dinnigan puts her signature touch to the property that sold for $885,000 in 2014.

Earlier this year, Dinnigan opened a homewares store in Mittagong in the 1880s post office, which she deemed the perfect place to showcase her developing range of artisanal homewares. There are also antique decorative mirrors, side tables, paintings, and vessels she has sourced from Puglia, her home away from NSW.
