A stunning cottage situated in Balmain, a sought-after harborside suburb in Sydney‘s inner-west, has been listed on the market by Jane Lu, the owner of ShowPo and a judge on Shark Tank Australia. The listing price for this four-bedroom, three-bathroom home is set at $3.2 million, and it will be auctioned on September 23.
Jane, aged 36, acquired this two-story property in 2013 for $1.8 million. Located on a quiet side street just two blocks away from the bustling main area of Balmain, this converted standalone home is conveniently only a 10-minute drive from the CBD.
This charming cottage boasts numerous appealing features, including a spacious and open floor plan, French doors, heated limestone floors, and multiple dining areas. The beautiful lounge area, complete with a gas fireplace, opens up to a meticulously landscaped garden and entertainment space. Additionally, there’s a private study and a cozy courtyard.
The generously sized gourmet kitchen is equipped with a breakfast nook featuring Calacatta marble countertops. The master bedroom is a luxurious retreat, complete with a walk-in wardrobe, an en suite bathroom, and heated towel rails.

Notably, Jane Lu recently purchased a lavish mansion overlooking Sydney Harbor in the nearby Birchgrove area for $13.75 million.
Jane gained prominence after founding Showpo in 2010, starting the business from her parents’ Balmain home. Initially trained as an accountant, she took a leap of faith when a friend proposed the idea of selling clothes from a pop-up stall. Jane quit her job, maxed out her credit card to buy inventory, and stored it in her parents’ Balmain garage. Today, her fashion business boasts an annual profit exceeding $30 million.

Jane also appeared as a cast member on the latest season of Shark Tank Australia, the reality television show where entrepreneurs from across the country pitch their inventions to a panel of investors, including Jane herself.

The sale comes after Lu splashed out $13.75million in June on a huge mansion over looking Sydney harbour in nearby Birchgrove
