Australian fashion and fitness entrepreneur Tash Oakley has given an update to her global fanbase regarding the progress of her $17 million Sydney property renovation. After tying the knot with Theo Chambers in Italy, Oakley, the founder of Monday Swimwear and a widely popular figure on social media, shared details about the ongoing transformation of their new “family home.”

The couple acquired a 1950s villa in an exclusive harborside suburb in the eastern part of the city earlier this year, concurrently selling their existing residence. The news of their property purchase surfaced as Oakley, listed on the BRW Young Rich list, and her husband, a liquor heir, were preparing for their wedding several months ago. According to sources cited by The Sydney Morning Herald’s Lucy Macken, the $17 million deal was brokered by Ray White’s Ashley Bierman.
In an Instagram story in early December, Oakley posted a picture of Chambers casually dressed in sneakers, arms extended, smiling in front of a construction site with scaffolding and exposed exterior walls, accompanied by the caption “Building our family home.” Additionally, she shared a snapshot of the packing process in the kitchen of their current residence, showcasing open drawers, cupboards, and prepared boxes. The property they purchased came with a Woollahra Council-approved development application for a $2.2 million redesign by Weir Phillips Architects, as reported by the SMH.

Previous assessments valued Oakley’s swimwear empire at $63 million, earning her a spot on the BRW Rich List in 2021. Starting with a blog titled “A Bikini A Day,” Oakley transformed it into a significant enterprise, amassing 3.6 million followers on Instagram. Her swim portfolio expanded into other ventures, such as Monday Body activewear and The Pilates Class, a collaboration with trainer Jacqui Kingswell featuring courses and a Los Angeles studio. Oakley has been featured on Nine’s 60 Minutes. According to Domain’s September 2023 House Price Report, the median house price in Paddington, where Oakley’s new property is located, is $3.15 million.
