Twelve years ago, Oliver Lavers embarked on his real estate journey without a Plan B. A decade later, having spent ten years collaborating with Gavin Rubinstein, he has ascended to the position of partner and director at The Rubinstein Group’s Rose Bay office.
Reflecting on his achievement, Oliver shares, “It has always been a goal of mine to own an office one day. I didn’t exactly know what that looked like, and I never thought, when I first started in real estate, it would lead me to where I am now. I’m really excited for this next chapter and look forward to helping grow TRG and the team.”

However, TRG Founder Gavin Rubinstein believes Oliver is downplaying his accomplishments. Notably, Oliver has been named the Ray White NSW/ACT Top City Salesperson by settled commission this year and ranks fifth internationally by settled commission.
Gavin commends Oliver’s outstanding achievements, citing consistent phenomenal results. He notes, “From a numbers point of view, he will finish up this half-year on what he did the whole of last year. It really shows the growth and trajectory he is on.”
Oliver’s path to success in real estate was not always clear. Despite a background in dance and drama, he transitioned from working at Hoyts Cinemas and Star City Casino to real estate after a realization about his career aspirations.
Joining Gavin’s team as a sales associate and lead generator at Double Bay, Oliver’s journey came full circle as he advanced from a novice agent to a partner. Expressing gratitude for Gavin’s faith and mentorship, Oliver acknowledges that the hard work he invested in building relationships a decade ago has set the foundation for his current success.

While proud of his new title, Oliver emphasizes that it won’t alter his day-to-day life. He remains committed to building his profile in the Eastern Suburbs and aims to give back to the industry.
