The Ray White Surfers Paradise Group is gearing up for its 30th annual auction event at the end of January, where a substantial inventory of residential and commercial properties will be auctioned off. THE EVENT, defying current market trends, has attracted over 100 property listings, with more bookings still pouring in, showcasing a remarkable 35% increase from the previous year.

Michael Andrews, CEO of Ray White Surfers Paradise Group, expressed the event’s growing appeal, stating that despite a real estate market with a stock decrease of over 30%, the event has seen significant traction. The showcased properties range from studio apartments, high-rise residential towers, and boutique apartment blocks to commercial properties, with prices spanning from $200,000 to several million dollars.

Property sales for Ray White’s The Event auction soar past $40M

Andrew Bell, Chairman of Ray White Surfers Paradise Group and the event’s original founder, attributed the heightened demand for Gold Coast properties to interstate and overseas migration. He highlighted that the persistent housing demand is fueled by a growing population through immigration and internal migration from other parts of Australia.

Bell noted that the relative affordability of Gold Coast real estate compared to major cities continues to attract buyers, and many attendees at the event are expected to be visitors from interstate. The chairman emphasized that the Gold Coast’s allure lies in offering homebuyers value for their money, attracting interest from the southern to the northern regions of the coast and even the hinterland.
