Analysis shows oversupply of housing in Australia

Researchers from the Australian National University analysed 15 years of Census data and building approvals and found Australia had an oversupply of 164,000 dwellings.

In particular inner city areas of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane had the most extra housing, although other areas were experiencing shortages.
