NORTHERN beaches property prices could rise by up to 30 per cent ‘virtually overnight’ once the proposed Beaches Link tunnel gets a green light, says Sydney property guru John McGrath.
But he says property owners keen for a windfall shouldn’t hold their breath, given the fact that it’s early days for the controversial tunnel — flagged to alleviate pressure on the much maligned Spit Bridge.
“Look at Badgerys Creek (the site for Sydney’s second airport) — that was on the agenda for 30 years before anything actually happened,” he said.
