Krystal Hipwell, a former Big Brother star, and her husband Neil, a property developer, recently provided updates to their fans about their latest venture in Byron Bay. With a property portfolio valued at around $25 million, the couple showcased the ongoing construction of two lavish mansions in this prestigious coastal destination via Instagram.
A video from the construction site revealed the grand scale of one residence, featuring skylights in both the kitchen and dining areas. The couple invested a substantial $4.75 million earlier this year to acquire a 1960s-era four-bedroom house on the site, subsequently demolishing it to commence construction on the spacious 1012 square meter plot.
The upcoming property, aptly named ‘Bunker House’ according to their Instagram, is set to become a vacation home rental upon completion in 2024. Design highlights include a U.S. Hampton’s style facade, a wrap-around balcony, and a pool.

Krystal, Neil, and their three children are currently residing in a small cabin on the construction site. This project follows the couple’s previous developments, including ‘Bunker House’ in Gerrigong, New South Wales, launched in 2021, which has transformed into a luxury rental accommodating 16 guests.
