CHINA’S “Mr Rolex”, billionaire Li Ruipeng, who owes creditors in China up to $30 million, has been evicted from prime Gold Coast office space and is behind in rent by up to $200,000.
The Gold Coast Bulletin can also reveal a staffer in the former Queensland government introduced noodle king Mr Li to agents looking to lease the premium top-floor property at 50 Cavill Avenue in early 2014.
This week, remnants of Mr Li’s late-2015 exit from the office included Chinese flags, an ashtray, piles of investment portfolios and a manual and warranty card for a diamond-studded Tag Heuer watch, bought from a Paris boutique last April.
