When former Bombers captain Jobe Watson bought his first property in 2007, he was confident he’d chosen well. That was until he lost money on the venture when he sold a few years later.
It was then he discovered he’d quite possibly taken the wrong advice.
“I made a decision after buying my first place [in Albert Park] and taking my parents’ advice — and then selling that place at a loss — that Mum and Dad weren’t the right people to talk to,” Watson said this week with a laugh.
