The high stakes, high drama world of real estate has proven to be a fertile ground for reality series in recent years. We’re living in the age of Selling Sunset and Million Dollar Listings, shows that offer a window into some of the most incredible houses in glamorous cities around the world, as well as the work going on behind the scenes as those houses exchange owners.
This week, you can add Luxe Listings Sydney to the list, when the brand new reality series debuts on streaming platform Amazon Prime Video. Filmed late last year as the real estate bubble grew—and grew, and grew, and grew—all over the highly sought-after coastal neighbourhood of Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Luxe Listings Sydney is a glossy look at some of the city’s most expensive houses. There are beachside mansions and waterfront penthouses and even one former embassy valued in the tens of millions of dollars.
The series doesn’t start streaming on Amazon Prime Video until Friday, July 9, but we got an exclusive first look at six of the show’s most extravagant homes. Here is your sneak peek.
Episode one: Dover Heights house
A family home with all the luxe trimmings, this Dover Heights home is listed in episode one by Gavin, one of the realtors who leads the action on the series. Simon, a buyer’s agent, views the property on behalf of his client David. Both are trying to get the best price for their clients, and the tension rises as the episode draws to a close.
