According to realestate.com.au million dollar home sales in Mermaid Waters have spiked over the past decade – but the rising suburb has maintained its “magic” appeal, homeowner Kellie Howell says.
Ms Howell said Mermaid Waters had provided an idyllic lifestyle for her family, close to shops, transport and school for her 14-year-old twins, Lily and Lucy, but away from the traffic and noise of central Gold Coast.
“There might be areas of Mermaid Waters that have changed, but ours hasn’t and I think that’s magic,” Ms Howell said.
“You’ve got a beautiful water outlook, wide streets and settled neighbours. And it’s four minutes to Pacific Fair – what’s not to love?”
Offers of more than $2.95 million are sought for the Howells’ family home of eight years, a luxury waterfront property marketed by Christine Tucker, of Harcourts Coastal.
