- FIRST home buyers are struggling to get a look in to the market, with new research warning that those who already own homes are partly to blame.
The latest CoreLogic RP Data Property Pulse, out Thursday, warned “first home buyers (FHB) have continued to languish at near record levels” with new lending to them now lower than it was in December 2008 – in every state and territory

New lending to first home buyers was down 37.5 per cent in March this year over December 2008 figures.
