Renovated Gold Coast beach shack remains a home with owners planning to put it on Airbnb

A GOLD Coast couple who promised to hold out against developers when putting a Surfers Paradise beach shack on the market have kept their word.

Leigh Weber and fiance Julia Clare have removed their renovated 15 Thornton Street pad from sale after turning down offers from a developer interested in it and a neighbouring home.

“We are keeping it — the legend lives on,” Mr Weber said.
