Residential boom over for QLD

  • Queensland’s State Treasury has delivered some dire news for the southeast, declaring the end of the residential-construction boom.

There’s a prediction of fewer new dwellings being constructed, with a property-fuelled economic growth.

Treasurer Curtis Pitt has released budget papers with his pre-election economic blueprint, and while Queensland is experiencing a strong housing sector growth, the papers say the peak has now passed.
