PROPERTY buyers will need a 35 per cent deposit for loans on units built less than two years ago or for any unit within a list of 90 black-listed postcodes, new Citi lending requirements show.
The global lender is the latest major finance group to express concern over the growing risk of apartment oversupply in suburbs with a long pipeline of high-rise residential projects.
The bulk of areas the bank flagged as “blackspots” were in Sydney, according to an update sent to its network of mortgage brokers.
