Mr. Longhurst revealed that the team, consisting of eight members, includes four seasoned agents, himself and Ms. Davidson included, two junior agents, a team manager, and a marketing manager.

“Our goal is to function as a close-knit team, collaborating closely with the most compelling buyers in the market and connecting them with prospective sellers,” expressed Mr. Longhurst.

Having concentrated on the Woollahra, Paddington, and Inner City terraces market for the past decade, Mr. Longhurst affirmed that his core focus remains unaltered, along with his unwavering commitment to service excellence.

Reflecting on their nine-year collaboration, Mr. Longhurst acknowledged the difficulty in parting ways with their former agency, given their profound respect for the brand and colleagues. However, he emphasized that the timing was right for this new venture.

“We’re thrilled to announce this to the market, and our future aspirations for the business align with the Sotheby’s brand,” Mr. Longhurst declared.

He elaborated on the decision-making process, citing the synergy and aligned work ethic between him and Ms. Davidson. The duo met with Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty Managing Director Michael Pallier, drawn to the brand not only for its stellar reputation and strong values but also for the potential collaboration with exceptional agents on listings and with buyers.

“The way Michael conducts business and his attitude towards sharing and collaborating were crucial,” Mr. Longhurst remarked. “The ability to exchange buyers and market information across different platforms is where value will be added to both our businesses and our clients.”

Having recently secured an off-market sale in Darling Point for $17.2 million, Mr. Longhurst anticipates further growth for the team. With multiple properties ranging between $10 million and $20 million on the market, he emphasized their enthusiasm for representing these clients.

“I believe the business will organically ascend the ladder in terms of the average sale price, propelled by the brand and our unwavering commitment to excellence,” he concluded.
