At the age of 30, Aimee Marsh was dismissed from her role at Ray White Aspley, located near Griffin in Brisbane’s northern region. Her termination followed a series of disparaging comments she made about tenants within a local Facebook group, all while using her professional profile.

These comments, which have since been deleted but were exclusively obtained by Daily Mail Australia, included statements such as renters making $50,000 annually being ‘envious’ of her, insinuating that her tax payments covered their Centrelink benefits. However, just a month later, Ms. Marsh has resurfaced in the real estate industry, joining the Blue Moon Property group on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and declaring that she’s ‘back in action’ and has ‘quit retirement.’

Despite the social media backlash she faced in August, Ms. Marsh is unapologetic and proudly shares her return to the property business online. She shared the reactions of her clients who welcomed her return, expressing gratitude for their support and stating that they are her motivation.

This tone is in stark contrast to her initial comments that led to her dismissal, where she labeled tenants as ‘a disgrace and irrelevant,’ particularly those who did not own homes in Griffin. These remarks, accompanied by a laughing emoji, were swiftly removed along with her Facebook profile after Daily Mail Australia exposed them.

Ms. Marsh later posted from her personal Facebook page, stating that “Jealousy is a curse and money controls people and emotions lol” and eagerly anticipating the prospect of selling the houses these tenants rent.

Ray White promptly terminated her employment “within about an hour” of becoming aware of her comments, emphasizing their respect for all members of their community, including renters. They disassociated themselves from Ms. Marsh’s views and stressed their commitment to customer service and community inclusivity.

Despite her contentious exit from Ray White, Blue Moon Property opted to hire Ms. Marsh. She took to Instagram to share that she received messages from people she had not previously engaged with, indicating their support and loyalty.

Ms. Marsh highlighted that her impact extends beyond monetary gains and emphasized her commitment to helping and motivating people, forging lasting bonds with them.

Previously, Ms. Marsh had referred to herself as the ‘#1 agent in Griffin’ and posted a purported message from a former customer, praising her resilience, strength, and inspiration to young women.

Following her termination last month, Ms. Marsh claimed she had received numerous job offers but ruled out starting an OnlyFans account due to concerns about unwanted attention. She expressed confidence in her ability to secure employment, describing herself as “inundated with job offers” and mentioned taking a mental break.

While she expressed disappointment with Ray White for publicly announcing her termination, Ms. Marsh acknowledged the support from other businesses checking in on her well-being. She stressed her newfound resilience and the development of a stronger backbone following her experiences.

In an interview with Brisbane radio station B105, Ms. Marsh defended her social media comments, asserting that they were directed at online trolls who attacked her personally, rather than renters in general. She claimed she became a target after sharing a successful sale on Facebook and became the scapegoat for people’s frustrations regarding the housing market.
