Danish tennis sensation and former world number 1, Caroline Wozniacki, isn’t just aiming for success on the tennis court at the Australian Open this week; she’s also making moves in the real estate arena. Wozniacki and her husband, former basketball champion David Lee, have listed their lavish Florida penthouse for an impressive US$42.5 million, entrusting Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman with the sale.

Australian Open prize money not enough to buy into some of Sydney’s most popular spots

Situated on the prestigious Fisher Island, a 216-acre enclave off the coast of Miami, the luxurious residence graces the top of the 10-story Palazzo Del Sol, offering sweeping waterfront views, as reported by the Robb Report.

The power couple, who exchanged vows in 2019, acquired the magnificent property in 2021 for US$18.7 million, according to property records. This move followed the sale of another unit in the same esteemed Kobi Karp-designed complex for US$16.25 million earlier that year.

Encompassing 650 square meters across two levels, the residence boasts five bedrooms and five full bathrooms. Two expansive terraces provide an additional 464 square meters of outdoor space.

Since their acquisition, Wozniacki and Lee have extensively renovated the penthouse, redesigning the floorplan and adding luxurious touches such as white oak herringbone flooring and a custom bar.

The duplex unfolds into a grand great room with impressive 5.5-meter ceilings and retractable glass doors, segmented into four distinct entertainment zones: a hosting salon, a bar, a TV lounge, and a formal dining space.

The modern kitchen features top-of-the-line Gaggenau appliances, a marble island, a remarkable wine wall, and an Art Deco-style stove hood.

Notable features of the penthouse include a state-of-the-art screening room with a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a terrace with a hot tub and fire pit, and the pièce de résistance – a private rooftop pool with breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay.

Constructed in 2016, the 47-unit condominium complex offers amenities such as a fitness center, movie theater, hair salon, and spa treatment rooms.

Fisher Island, an exclusive members-only locale and one of the nation’s most expensive ZIP codes, has been a residence for celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Mel Brooks, Julia Roberts, and Andre Agassi.
